DACULA, Ga. - The No. 1 seed Hebron swept No. 8 seed Holy Innocents in front of a roaring crowd on Wednesday night. With this victory, the Lions improve to 38-5 and punch their ticket to the Final Four for the second consecutive year.
Ashley Troxell led the way once again with 13 kills.
Imani Howell posted 11 kills while
Aubrey Cowart contributed nine.
Brooke Thao added 27 assists to the night. The Lions started strong, easily taking the first set, but faced a tough challenge in the second. Down 22-18, Howell stepped up to tie it at 22, and Hebron ultimately clinched the set, going up 2-0.
"I'm so proud of our girls," commented head coach Taylor Davis. "The bottom line is that we have played teams and now we are starting to prepare for teams. I'm super pleased with our side of the net and things we have done. Our girls executed to perfection today."
The Final Four will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Westminster School. The Lions will face Lovett (28-14) at 5 p.m. for what will be an exciting matchup.
