Hebron Christian Academy volleyball alumnus Hayden McGee Ashley (2020) hosted the Gwinnett County Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) volleyball camp at Lions Arena on Friday, July 18.
The all-day camp, which went from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. gave girls of all ages the opportunity to practice their volleyball skills and learn from McGee Ashley and other coaches.
Founded in 1954, FCA was formed to challenge coaches and athletes of all levels to use sports to reach every coach and athlete with the power of Jesus Christ. Currently, FCA stretches across 115 different countries around the world and has formed over 20,000 certified huddles.
McGee Ashley is much-involved with FCA, as she is the Northern Gwinnett Area Representative. She and thousands of others are fully committed to enriching the lives of coaches and athletes, while spreading the word of God.
For the former Lion, there was no better way to do that than return to HCA.
"It's pretty rewarding to be leading an FCA camp on the same courts I played on at Hebron," McGee Ashley said.
