Jonathan Wyman came to Hebron with more than 10 years of varsity baseball coaching experience in Gwinnett County, including head coaching stops at Norcross High School and Lanier High School. He joined Hebron in the fall of 2021 as an assistant coach and took over as interim coach in January, before being selected as head coach. He is also a social studies teacher at HCA.
During the 2025 season, the Lions made its third consecutive state appearance. HCA finished 17-14 overall after falling to Mount Vernon in the state playoffs.
In 2024, HCA finished in the Sweet Sixteen round of the GHSA state tournament with a three game series against Pickens. Hebron concluded the season with a 19-15 overall and 10-5 region play record. The Lions finished the 2023 regular season 8-7 in region play, including five consecutive series wins.
His head coaching credentials speak for themselves, leading Lanier High School to the GHSA 5A State Playoffs in 2017 and 2018 and being named the 2013 Gwinnett County Coach of the Year at Norcross High School. He also led Norcross to the GHSA 7A State Playoffs in 2013, 2014 and 2016, including the Sweet 16 in 2013.
During his days as an assistant baseball coach at North Gwinnett High School, Wyman helped lead the Bulldogs to the 2007 7-AAAAA Championship, while making a GHSA Elite Eight appearance that same year. In 2009, he was named the Gwinnett County Dugout Club Assistant Coach of the Year, and, a year later, he helped guide the team to the GHSA 6A Final Four.
Wyman and his wife PJ have four children, Avery, Anna Grace, Aleigh, and Knox.
