This past April, Hebron Christian Academy head football coach
Kenny Dallas announced the addition of Michael Davis, a coaching veteran in the state of Georgia, as the new offensive coordinator at HCA.
Davis arrives at HCA after four years at Rabun County High School, including the last three seasons as head coach, where he led the Wildcats to a 28-9 record. Under his leadership, Rabun County secured a region championship in 2022 and advanced to the state quarterfinals in both 2022 and 2023.
"Coach Davis brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of success to our program," said Coach Dallas. "His ability to develop quarterbacks and design explosive offenses speaks for itself. We are excited to welcome him to the Hebron family and look forward to the impact he will make on our program."
Davis' coaching resume also includes a remarkable 22-year tenure at Calhoun High School (1999-2021), where he played a key role in establishing one of Georgia's most successful high school football programs. As the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach, he helped lead Calhoun to three state championships (2011, 2014, 2017), eight state championship game appearances, and an incredible 18 consecutive region titles. During his time at Calhoun, the program amassed a dominant 252-42 record, and Davis was instrumental in developing nine first-team all-state quarterbacks.
"I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity and the door the Lord has opened for me at HCA," said Davis. "I look forward to getting to work, building relationships, and making a lasting impact on our student-athletes. I want to express my sincere appreciation to Dr. Taylor, Coach Dallas, and Coach Davis for their exceptional leadership and support throughout this process."
A mastermind of high-powered offenses, Davis' 2021 Rabun County team led the state with an explosive 48.6 points per game. His offensive units in 2011 (43.8), 2012 (42.6), 2005 (42.4), 2015 (42.3), 2018 (42.0), and 2014 (40.9) all averaged more than 40 points per game, solidifying his reputation as one of Georgia's top offensive minds.
Beyond his time at Rabun County and Calhoun, Davis also held assistant football and head baseball coaching roles at Newton High School (1997-1999) and Cartersville High School (1994-1997). He began his coaching career at Rockmart High School in 1993 as the quarterbacks and defensive ends coach.
Coach Dallas and Coach Davis have combined to roam the sideline in 15 GHSA State Championship games during their storied careers.

He also spent time in the Cleveland Indians organization (1989-90). His daughter, Lyndi Rae, played four seasons with the University of Georgia softball team (2022-2025).
