
Chad Griffin is the head coach of the girls and boys soccer teams as well as the girls flag football team at Hebron Christian Academy. Griffin is also the Assistant Athletic Director for Athletic Development and became the first girls flag football coach in 2021 when the program began. In its first season, the flag football team was named 2021 Area Champions and qualified for state. The team finished 18-2 last season and 10-3 a year prior. In 2023, the Lions made its third straight state tournament appearance and concluded the season with a 15-3, 7-1 record.
In 2024, Griffin was named National Christian School Athletic Association (NCSAA) National Coach of the Year for boys soccer. His all-time coaching record is 292-190. In 2024, the Lions won its first region championship in nine years with an overall record of 15-2-2 and undefeated 5-0 region record. HCA made it to the GHSA 3A Championship game for the first time since 2013.The Lions were named GHSA 3A State Runner-Ups after falling to Columbus 2-1 in double overtime.
During the 2025 season, the boys soccer team (18-2) finished in the Final Four with a 1-0 loss to Whitefield Academy. Both team won the Region 8-AA Championship, it was the boys second straight year winning the region championship.
On the girls side, Griffin led the team to its second straight state tournament appearance and the Lions advanced to the Sweet Sixteen. The girls finished 10-4, 4-1 on the year.
Prior to HCA, Griffin coached the girls and boys soccer teams for 18 years and served as athletic director for 14 years at Calvary Day School in Savannah, Ga.
Griffin and his wife Sherry have two kids, Hayes and Addison.
