Dave Stanton is going into his second year at HCA as the head boys lacrosse coach.
In his first season as the Lions head coach, Stanton led the Lions to a historical season, winning the first-ever area championship in program history, while advancing to the program's first-ever final four in the GHSA State tournament.
Overall, the Lions finished the season with a 16-3 record, the most impressive record to date in the Lions four-year history.
Stanton is a dynamic leader with a passion for mentoring young athletes and fostering excellence both on and off the field. He brings 26 years of coaching experience, including 13 years in lacrosse. David is currently a Partner and Director for Legacy Lacrosse Georgia, where he has made a significant impact on the lives of countless young players.
In addition to his coaching expertise, David serves as the Executive Director of the P4 Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families of children battling cancer. Under his leadership, the foundation has grown in its reach and influence, providing vital resources and compassion to families in need.
He and his wife Melissa, have been married for 35 years and have four sons and two daughters-in-law.
