COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Hebron softball team breezed past Savannah Christian 10-1 in just five innings on Thursday. With this win, the Lions advance to the Private school state finals, where they will face Prince Avenue at 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1. The winner will move on to the state title game on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m.
Gwendolyn Hill was a standout on the mound, striking out 10 without allowing a single walk, while only giving up two hits throughout the game. Earlier in the Elite Eight, the Lions secured a commanding 7-0 victory over Providence Christian, propelling them into the winners bracket. In the circle, Hill only allowed one hit and striking out 16.
