MACON, Ga. - The Hebron competition cheer team earned a well-deserved third place at the GHSA Private State Cheerleading Championship on Friday evening with a score of 74 points.
"We are incredibly proud to have earned third place at the GHSA State Cheerleading Competition! Our success is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and heart each team member brought to the floor," commented head coach Paige Underwood.
The Lions had an outstanding season, capturing first place in three of their five competitions. The journey to the state championship was highlighted by a third-place finish at the regional competition, where the team scored 77.5 points, securing its spot on the state championship stage.
"Despite the challenges of competing with a smaller squad, we never backed down from pushing ourselves to perform at our very best. This accomplishment proves that with passion, teamwork, and perseverance, anything is possible. I also want to shout out our two senior cheerleaders,
Kendall Ford and Avery Blount. It's truly inspiring to see how these two seniors have shown unwavering dedication and commitment over the past four years. They've undoubtedly made a lasting impact on their teammates and the cheerleading program as a whole. We're excited for what's next for Hebron Varsity Cheer and grateful for the support we've received along the way!"
