GHSA Bracket

BREMEN, Ga. - The Hebron girls tennis team came back to defeat Bremen 3-2 to advance to the Elite Eight on Monday night. 

In singles, Sarah Mix fell 6-2, 6-2 in her match as No. 2. Natalie Chumley dropped her match 6-1, 6-0 from the No. 3 singles. Ameerah Mesidor defeated Meara Brown in a tough third set 7-6, 5-7, 7-3 from the No. 1 position. The Blue Devils went into doubles play with a 2-1 lead over the Lions. 

Samatha Whittington and her teammate Ainsley Trenbeath were down in their match as the No. 1 doubles, but they came back and won 7-5, 6-3. It all came down to Isabella Annett and Naomi David to determine the winner of the match. The duo fell in set one 3-6, won set two 6-4 and finally came back to win the third set 7-5. With this win, the Lions improve to 14-5 on the year and advance to the Elite Eight for the second consecutive year. 

HCA will play the winner of Saint Vincents and Columbus in the Elite Eight.
