CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The Hebron softball team went 2-1 at the Score Invite Tournament last weekend. The Lions improve to 18-2 overall after defeating Tattnall Square Academy 4-1 and Coahulla Creek 2-1. HCA fell to Gordon Lee 4-1, the last time these two programs competed was at the GHSA 3A State Tournament last season. The Lions defeated the Trojans 1-0 to advance to the GHSA State Championship game against Wesleyan.
Gwendolyn Hill pitched lights out with a 18.2 IP, four earned runs, and 26 strikeouts.
Brittyn Sissom leads the team in batting average with a .429 and hits with 24. Freshman Juls Huber posts two home runs on the year.
The Lions hit the road to Prine Avenue on Tuesday, Sept. 17 and welcome Hart County for Cancer Awareness Night on Thursday, Sept. 19.
