ROME, Ga. - The Hebron cross country team competed at the Darlington XC Festival on Saturday morning. The boys finished fourth place and the girls took home third place.
On the boys side,
Anderson Mathias was a top performer for the Lions with a third place finish in 16:47.11. Javi Silva placed eighth in 17:27.74 and earning a medal. Other top performers for the boys were:
Marco Perez (30th),
Matthew Kirk (40th), and
Sean McCorkle (65th).
On the girls side,
Eloise Jones performed well with a seventh place finish in 21:10.94. Other top performers for the girls were:
Lindsay Buchanan (27th),
Hannah Sommers (33rd), Taylor Prezzanno (42nd), and
Amber Smith (45th).
The Lions travel to Oakville, Ala. for the Jesse Owens XC Classic on Friday, Oct. 4 and Saturday, Oct. 5.
