GVCA All State Teams

DACULA, Ga. -
Imani Howell was named Georgia Volleyball Coaches Association (GVCA) AA Player of the Year after multiple accolades this season. The senior helped lead the Lions to its third state championship in program history. She is only the second athlete from HCA that has received this prestigious honor with Haydan McGee, being awarded this honor in 2019.

The Rutgers University commit was second on the team in blocks with a total of 46. Howell posted 227 kills, 58 blocks, and a hitting percentage of .374. She was honored as Honorable Mention All Area and Class AAAAA-A First Team All-County.

Head volleyball coach Taylor Davis was honored as A-AAA Private Coach of the Year by the GVCA. Coach Davis has led the team to three state titles in his 12 years at Hebron. He is sporting a record of 459-143 in 12 years as head coach.

The 2024 All State Team for each classification was selected by a vote of member coaches of the GVCA, and reviewed by the board. Nominations are taken from head coaches only via MaxPreps through the Sunday following the region tournament. All nominees whose coaches are GVCA members are then voted on by the coaches and reviewed by the committee made up of present board members and past presidents of the GVCA.
