DACULA, Ga.- The No. 1 team in Region 8AAA defeated Hart County 11-7 on Thursday night to earn back-to-back series sweep in region play. This win puts the Lions 12-8 overall and 8-1 in the region. The Bulldogs drop to 5-10 overall and 1-7 in region competition.

On the mound, Dallas Rice started the game and went three innings allowing five hits, four earned runs, one walk, and two strikeouts. Tag Clement came in the 4th inning and threw 1.1 innings allowing zero runs, one hit, and one walk before handing the ball over to Dean Livingston. Livingston finished the game going the last 2.2 innings allowing zero runs, one hit, one walk, and striking out three to secure the victory.

The offense was led by Samuel Mitchell, Demitri Watts, Dean Livingston, and Devon Caldwell. Mitchell went 2-3 including two home runs. Mitchell had three RBI's and two runs on the night.  Watts hit a three-run bomb to left field and had a walk. Livingston went 2-4 with a two RBI double, a single and a stolen base. Caldwell was 2-2 with a single, a double, scored twice, had a walk, and hit by pitch.

Other offensive contributors were Sebastian Daigle as he was 0-0 with two walks and two sacrifice bunts, Thomas Stallworth scored twice on a walk and hit by pitch. Barrett Bruce was 1-3 with a single, a hit by pitch, a stolen base and a run. Destin Matthews had 2 walks and Tyler Rogers was 1-3 with a double and a run.

The Lions face Monroe Area on Monday, March 25 at the Cole Complex. First pitch is set for 4:30 p.m.
