DACULA, Ga. - Baseball took care of business in its three-game region series against Hart County this past week, prevailing in all three games over the Bulldogs. The Lions also took the opening game of their three-game series against Stephens County 13-4 on Monday, March 23.
The Lions (16-1) now boast a perfect 6-0 record in the region, and will turn their attention to Stephens County (10-5) for another three-game slate this week.Â
In the sweep over Hart County, Hebron picked up a convincing 5-0 shutout win in Game 1 at Saye Field in Hartwell on Wednesday, March 18. Senior pitcher

In Game 2, Hebron took the initial 1-0 lead in the first inning, but Hart fired back to take a 2-1 lead in the top of the third, to which the Lions retaliated with another run to tie the game in the bottom-half of the frame.Â
Hart regained the one-run lead in the top of the 5th, but Hebron notched two runs in the bottom of the sixth. Lewis came in for relief of starter Holden Meers (4.2 innings, three earned-runs, four strikeouts) and

In the rubber game, Hebron ran out to a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first, and then added four in the fifth. However, down 3-1, Hart battled back in the top of the sixth, scoring five and making it a 7-6 score. But Lewis came back in for another save, and did not disappoint, clinching the win for the Lions.Â
