FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. - The Hebron boys lacrosse team fell in a tight game to Whitewater 13-11 to conclude the 2024 season. In the second year as a program, the boys have qualified for state and have had back-to-back seasons with over ten wins.
Max Steve and
Tanner Bowen received Second Team All-State honors.
Jackson Wolfe was named Honorable Mention All-State and
Pierson Myers earned the Bob Scott Nominee for 1-4A.
It was a back and forth game between the Lions and Wildcats. HCA had three players score three goals including
Pierson Myers,
Jackson Wolfe, and
Austin Scott.
Reid Oliver added another two goals for the Lions. It was not enough to defeat the Wildcats, who tallied 13 goals. Defensively,
Patrick Crist recorded ten saves in the net. Goalkeeper Crist accumulated 204 saves on the year.
Jackson Wolfe leads the team with 62 goals on the year followed by
Austin Scott with 50 and
Reid Oliver with 40.Â
The Lions finish the season with a 10-8, 2-2 record on the year. The Wildcats improve to 14-5, 1-1 and will advance to play Lovett on Saturday, April 27 in the Sweet Sixteen round.Â
