DACULA, Ga. - Ja'Kerra Butler has etched her name into the history books of Hebron girls basketball. The senior reached a major career milestone this week, surpassing 1748 career points, officially becoming the all-time leading scorer in Hebron girls basketball history. She overtook former alumni Malia Fisher (1730), Nicole Azar (1709), and Meredith Montgomery (1569) to claim the top spot.
Butler's scoring prowess has been a key part of Hebron's success over the past few seasons. She helped lead the Lions to back-to-back state championships in 2023 and 2024, cementing her legacy as one of the most dominant players in the program's history.
This week, Butler continued to showcase her skill and leadership on the court. On Monday, she posted a double-double of 29 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Franklin County. The next day, she posted 16 points and 10 rebounds in a victory against Hart County.
Looking ahead, Butler will take her talents to the Division I level, as she has already signed to play basketball at Auburn University next fall.
