DACULA, Ga. - Hebron Men's basketball improved to 2-1 last week, splitting its two games against Lanier (L) and Maynard Jackson (W).
The Lions will next be back at home in Lions Arena, where they will play Morrow High School (3-1) tomorrow, Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 7:30 p.m.Â
Hebron came up short in last Tuesday's matchup against Lanier, falling 70-66 on the road. Senior guard Devon McField led the Lions with 23 points, with five rebounds and three assists.Â
Ashton Burt added 13 points, six rebounds, one block and a steal, while Zaiden Nelson had 11 points, five boards and four assists. Landon Crews added a couple hustle stats with five blocks and 10 rebounds.Â
Against Maynard Jackson on Friday, Nov. 14, the Lions rebounded, winning that contest 66-56 at home. Trailing 31-30 at halftime, the Lions got a great third-quarter performance from guard Brandyn Manning, who scored Hebron's first 12 points of the half, giving the Lions a 42-37 lead.Â
Hebron went on to roll to the double-digit win.Â
Overall, Manning led the Lions with 15 points, while notching four three-pointers, three assists and two steals. McField and Nelson each had 12 points, McField adding six assists and three steals, while Nelson had three assists and two steals.Â
