FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - The No. 1 seed Hebron girls basketball team continued its dominant season with a commanding 80-23 victory over Hart County to capture their third consecutive region championship. With the win, the Lions improve to an impressive 26-1 overall record.
Leading the charge for Hebron was
Ja'Kerra Butler, who delivered a monster performance, finishing with 22 points, 14 rebounds, and seven blocks.
Danielle Osho also had a strong showing, contributing 15 points, 10 rebounds, and five blocks, while
Mia James added 15 points, six assists, and five rebounds.
Camryn Register and
Alanna Beckham chipped in six points each, rounding out the balanced attack for the Lions.
"I'm eally proud of our girls resilience this year fighting through some early season adversity," said head coach Jan Azar. "They have found a way to win 26 games, losing only 1, won a region championship and held on to a #3 national ranking so far. The region championship win puts us at the top of the power rankings. We are looking forward to continuing our journey as the state tournament begins next week."
Hebron, who has been dominant all season, now sets its sights on the GHSA Private State Tournament next week.
