Boys Basketball Advances to Elite Eight for Second Straight Year

DACULA, Ga. - The Hebron boys basketball team (17-11) secured a hard-fought victory against the Walker School (24-4) on Saturday afternoon, earning a spot in the Elite Eight for the second consecutive year.

The game was a back-and-forth battle from start to finish. At halftime, the score was tied at 28, with both teams showing their strengths. Senior Josiah Deagle led the charge for the Lions with 17 points, while TJ Matthews contributed 15 points, two assists, and three rebounds. Lukas Romine added a strong all-around performance with 13 points, nine rebounds, and three assists.

Hebron's shooting from beyond the arc was a key factor in their victory, with the Lions making 28 of 50 3-pointers and an impressive 56% from the three-point line.

With this win, Hebron will head to Holy Innocents next week for the next challenge in its quest for a state championship.
