Hebron Girls Basketball Slides Past Mount Paran to Advance to Final Four

DACULA, Ga. - The No. 1 seed Hebron Christian Academy (HCA) girls basketball team defeated No. 9 seed Mount Paran Christian School 53-46 in a thrilling quarterfinal matchup, securing a spot in the Final Four for the sixth striaght time in program history. The Lions will face off against Galloway on Friday, February 28, at 1:00 p.m. at the University of North Georgia.

The game was a back-and-forth contest throughout the first half, with neither team able to pull away. The second quarter proved to be a defensive battle, as both teams struggled to gain a significant lead. Heading into the break, the game was tied at 28-28.

Hebron's standout performances came from Mia James, who led the team with 19 points, four assists, and two rebounds, and Danielle Osho, who recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds. JaKerra Butler, despite going down with an injury in the first half, returned to contribute 11 points and eight rebounds.

In the fourth quarter, Hebron took control of the game. Osho's three-pointer with 4:48 left pushed the Lions lead to 45-38, and James extended the lead to six points with just one minute remaining. The Lions defense and timely scoring in the closing minutes sealed the victory.

Hebron improves to 28-1 on the season, while Mount Paran finishes their campaign with an impressive 26-5 record. The Lions will look to continue their strong play as they prepare for their upcoming Final Four clash against Galloway.
