LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. - The Hebron track & field team put on an impressive performance at the Gwinnett County Championships this past weekend, with six athletes earning medals and several setting personal bests.

On Friday, the meet started with field events. HCA had three athletes medal in field events with Leah Jensen leading the way in discus after she placed second, throwing 115'10". Micah Gunji finished sixth in triple jump with a distance of 42'2". Taryn Dixon came in fifth in shot put with 42'2". 

On the second day of competition, Tyler McCart posted a distance of 142'2" to finish fifth and medal in discus. In the running events, Eloise Jones posted a time of 5:24.38 to place eighth in the 1600 meter. Javi Silva crossed the line in second place in the 800 meter with a time of 1:59.15. 

The boys finished in 15th place overall while the girls came in 16th place. The next meet for the Lions will be when HCA hosts the 1A-3A Private Area 4 Championships on Monday, April 21 and Wednesday, April 23.
