DACULA, Ga. - The Hebron track and field team concluded the 2025 campaign at the GHSA Private 1A-3A State Championship this weekend. The girls came in third place with 61 points while the boys placed fifth with 46 points. The Lions sent 32 athletes to the state championships at Carrollton High School.
The girls 4x200 relay team claimed the state title and new school record with a time of 1:41.89. The team consisted of
Lizzy Jacobs,
Lily Macrina,
Jayden Watts, and
Ashley Troxell. Other top finishes for the Lions include
Taryn Dixon, who placed second in shot put with a distance of 40'3".
Leah Jensen finished fourth in discus with a mark of 111'3". The girls 4x100 team crossed the line in fourth in 49.62, the group consisted of Londyn Friend,
Makari Glover,
Mia James, and
Ashley Troxell.
Lily Macrina finished fifth in the 400 meter in 56.19.
On the boys side,
Micah Gunji came in fifth in triple jump with a distance of 41'9". In discus,
Blake Humphries and
Morgan Jordan finished third and fourth, respectively.
Anderson Mathias placed third in the 3200 meter in 9:39.40.
