REMCHINGEN, Germany – Hebron Christian Academy girls basketball alumna Malia Fisher signed a professional basketball contract with Rutronik Stars Keltern, a German club of the Damen Basketball Bundesligen (Women's Basketball League).
The 6-foot-2 forward just finished her collegiate career with Rice University, where she was an All-AAC First-Team selection as a senior (2024-25) with an average of 12.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, 1.5 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.
In four seasons with the Owls, Fisher earned nine all-conference recognitions, which include C-USA All-Freshman Team (2021-22), C-USA All-Conference Second Team (2022-23), All-AAC Third Team (2023-24) and the AAC Ambassador Award (2025).
She was also tabbed as the AAC-All Tournament MVP her junior season after averaging 14.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals per game, helping the Rice win its first-ever AAC Conference Championship and punch its ticket to the NCAA Tournament.
Hebron Career
Fisher graduated from Hebron in 2021 after playing two seasons under head coach Jan Azar. The two both arrived at Hebron ahead of the 2019-20 season, Fisher making the move from North Gwinnett High School. Fisher shined as a junior – averaging 15.6 points, 8.8 rebounds, 3.5 steals, three assists and 1.6 blocks per game, backing up her Gwinnett Daily Post Super Six honor.
As a senior, she kept the same pace, averaging 16.2 points, eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and 1.5 blocks, leading the Lions to their first-ever state championship victory (Class A Private). Fisher highlighted the Lions' 51-46 win over St. Francis by totaling 18 points, 11 rebounds and two blocks.
The college-bound hooper's effort did not go unnoticed that season, as she received player of the year honors by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the Gwinnett Daily Post and the Gwinnett Tip-off Club. She was also named to the Atlanta Tip-off Club's All-Metro list, collecting first-team honors. Overall, Fisher finished her high school career with 1,730 points and 913 rebounds.
In just two seasons with Hebron, she totaled 987 points and 520 rebounds, averaging 15.9 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
