DACULA, Ga. - Hebron improves to 3-0 in region play after running past Stephens County 42-0 on Friday night. The Lions improve to 7-1 overall. The Indians move to 4-4 overall and 1-2 in region play.
The Lions put up three scores in the second quarter to pull away from the Indians. In the first half, the Lions put up 84 passing yards and 68 rushing.
Jarvis Mathurin had two scores in the first half. One score was after a 58 yard punt return and the second score was a 19-yard pass from
Thomas Stallworth. Meanwhile, the Indians only had 44 yards on the ground and 27 passing yards.
The Hebron defense held the Indians to zero points in four quarters.
Nicholas Wade is leading the team in tackles per game with 6.8. He is followed by
Max Steve, who is recording 6.7 tackles per game.
Carrington Coombs is averaging four sacks per game and
Sichan John has three sacks per game.
HCA takes the field next when they travel to Franklin County on Friday, Oct. 25. Franklin County (3-5) is coming off a 56-6 loss to Prince Avenue last Friday.
