HAMILTON, Ga. - The Hebron girls flag football team had its season come to an end in the qualifying round of the GHSA A-4A state playoffs on Thursday evening. The Lions finish its season with an overall 14-4 record.
Hebron won the first game 6-0 against Savannah High School to advance to the Sweet Sixteen round at 7 p.m. The Lions found themselves facing Harris County for the Sweet Sixteen. HCA had the lead after
Lily Macrina had a pick to run it to the end zone. Within four minutes, Harris County scored twice to give them the 12-6 lead over the Lions. The Tigers (20-4) will face Southeast Bulloch (17-1) on Dec. 9th.
The Lions graduate 12 seniors and advanced to the state qualifier for the fourth straight year in the program.
