BUFORD, Ga. - Flag Football had just one date last week, that being a date with Buford and Mountain View at Buford on Wednesday, Oct. 15. The Lions didn't squander their opportunity to perform, as they dominated both teams, taking down Mountain View 39-3 and Buford 33-0. 

Freshman quarterback Saige Walker led the Hebron Offense against Mountain View in Game 1, completing five passes for 34 yards, while rushing nine times for 34 yards and a whopping four touchdowns. Bella Brown also earned some snaps at quarterback, completing three passes for 66 yards. She also added two rushes for 11 yards. Taryn Dixon led the team in receiving against Mountain View, snagging three receptions for 45 yards and a touchdown. Londyn Friend also had a receiving touchdown in the first win. 

Defensively, Kai Williams and Clara Rothwell each had an interception. Rothwell also led the defense with four tackles. Kaitlyn Green had three tackles. 

Against Buford, the offensive attack was just as strong as the earlier game, as Walker completed nine passes for 126 yards, while Brown tallied 64 yards through the air on eight completions. Walker also led the team in rushing against the Wolves, carrying the ball three times for 28 yards. Williams highlighted the air raid, as she caught five passes for 86 yards and three touchdowns. Green had the other receiving touchdown, a 13 yard snag. Dixon had four catches for 26 yards, while Sophia Rhodes had two receptions for 26 yards. 

Green also picked up an interception, while she had three tackles. Rothwell and Makari Glover each had three tackles as well. 

Now 5-1, Hebron will next play Parkview and Grayson tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 21. The Lions will face Parkview at 6:30 p.m. and Grayson at 7:30 p.m.
