DACULA, Ga. - In dominant fashion,
the Hebron girls basketball team advances to the Final Four for the fifth straight season after a 75-28 victory over Morgan County. The Lions are 28-2 and remain undefeated at home with a 13-0 record. The Bulldogs conclude their season with a 18-13 record.
From the start of tip-off, the Lions took control of the game and went into the half with a 37-17 lead.
JaKerra Butler and
Danielle Osho both recorded a double-double on the night. Butler put up 17 points and 10 rebounds while Osho tallied 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Aubrey Beckham had 15 points and four assists with
Mia James chipping in 10 points, three assists, and three steals.
Head coach Jan Azar has led her team to the semifinal round of the GHSA State Tournament in the past 23 of the 24 seasons. Her team is vying for its second straight state title.
Up Next: The girls travel to Savannah for the Final Four showdown against Region 1-AAA runner-up, Monroe. The Lady Tornadoes advanced to the Final Four after a 67-64 win over White County. Tipoff is set for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2 at Savannah State University.
