Hebron Soccer Teams Advance to Sweet Sixteen

DACULA, Ga. - The Hebron soccer teams were unstoppable last night after the girls won 10-0 over Cedar Grove and boys defeated Carver Atlanta 10-0. The girls improve to 10-3 while the boys move up to 12-2-1. This is the second consecutive year that the Lions advance to the Sweet Sixteen.

On the boys side, Luke Meek recorded four goals and one assist on the night. Aiden Kanclerz and Samuel Carlson added two goals each. Benji Gunji and Lucas Ardeu contributed one goal apiece. This season, Gunji leads the team in goals with 19. The Panthers conclude the season with a 0-9 record on the year. 

On the girls side, Hayley Redrick, Micah Turner, and Mikayla Trapp had two goals each on the night. Turner leads the team in goals for the season with 17. The Saints fall to 1-10-1 on the year. 

The teams advance to the next round of the GHSA State Playoffs next week. The girls will play at Wesleyan at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 23 and the boys host Dawson County on Wednesday, April 24 at 7:00 p.m.
