DACULA, Ga. - The Hebron soccer teams swept the Region 8-AA Championship on Tuesday evening against Hart County on senior night. The girls started off the night clinching its first Region 8-AA Championship since 2018 with a 11-2 win. The Hebron boys soccer team secured its first back-to-back Region 8-AA Championship in school history with a 10-0 shutout.
Kaitlyn Green led the Lions with five goals and one assist.
Micah Turner added two goals and two assists, while
Mariah Cooley, Lexi Haley,
April Mojica, and Haylely Redrick also added goals. In the net,
Ava Isaacs tallied two saves while
Ava Jenkins recorded two saves.
On the boys side, the Lions were led by a pair of hat- tricks from
Benji Gunji & Reese Kanclerz, Sam Carlson and
Archie Mindra also added two each. Assists were led by Kailen Choksi with two, Sam Carlson with two,
Nathan Boot with two, and
Hamilton Barnes with one. Cam Eblen had one save while
Chase Grey calculated one save.
HCA hosts Toombs County on Thursday, April 3rd. The girls play at 5:30 p.m. followed by the boys at 7:30 p.m.
