DACULA, Ga. - The Hebron boys soccer team had four goals in the second half to shutout Dawson County 6-0 in the second round of the GHSA State Playoffs at Burlingame Field on Wednesday night. The boys advance to the Elite Eight for the second consecutive year.
HCA improves to 13-1-1 overall. The Tigers end the season with a 10-8-1 record. The Lions had control from kickoff with the first goal coming from senior
Luke Meek. The second goal came from
Mason Luke to make for his ninth goal this season. At halftime, the Lions were up 2-0 heading into the locker room.Â
Hebron ran away with the game in the second half as the Lions tallied four goals to seal the victory. The four goals came from
Aiden Kanclerz,
Kaelin Choksi,
Ty Warbington, and
Benji Gunji.
The Lions square off against Savannah Country Day on Tuesday, April 30 at Burlingame Field. SCDS defeated Academy of Richmond County 4-0 to advance. Kickoff starts at 6:00 p.m.Â
