Savannah, GA – Hebron Christian Academy's Evan Rogers delivered an outstanding performance at the GHSA Area-1 Private Golf Championship this week, securing his second consecutive title with a 2-under 70.
Competing at Crosswinds Golf Club in Savannah, Georgia, Rogers recorded four birdies and an eagle, finishing one stroke ahead of the field. His birdie on the final hole clinched his second consecutive Area Championship.
Rogers now turns his focus to the GHSA State Championship, where he will defend his state title from last year. The championship is scheduled for May 19-20 at Twin City Country Club in Sandersville, Georgia.
As a team, HCA finished fourth overall, narrowly missing the opportunity to advance to the State Championship. Senior Cam Eblan finished second on the team and 16th overall with a 9-over 81, while Christian Forey (+10), Brody Taylor (+11), Aspen Taylor (+16) and Wade Balkom (+17) rounded out the team.
